Job Hunting on Social Media

Job hunting on social media has proven fruitful for many, so if you're in need of a new opportunity, I say go for it.

Recently I had a brief exchange with this lady who'd asked for RTs on her post about seeking employment. I asked if she was willing to relocate for work and she replied, "Do you consider loaning me some money?"

I was shocked. For all she knew I'm the CEO of a huge company with various job openings, but she didn't use wisdom when responding to me. Which technically in the scheme of things doesn't mean diddly squat except ... more higher ups than ever read tweets these days because of Donald Trump and because they know the power of social media. While a lot of companies have staff that tweet, there are some big wigs that tweet for themselves. T-Mobile's CEO and Marcus Lemonis of The Profit for example.

How many people's tweets have come back to bite them? More than just the viral ones we know about. Especially when they've asked the world to RT a tweet and they've done it.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised about anything people do or say these days because we're living in this, 'my space, my voice' culture. Regardless of what's culturally popular right now, the wisdom I offer is that you play the movie forward and think through all of the possible outcomes before you think or speak. If most of the possible responses or results of your words or actions are negative, I'd table them and remain silent if you can. You don't always have to respond.

What do you think? Are we beyond basic professionalism in our society or does it still apply ... even on social media?

Another Year Gone

It never ceases to amaze me how fast time goes by. As a child, life seemed to take forever. As an adult it goes by so quickly I always feel like I'm running to catch up.

I bought my 2018 planner earlier than normal this year. I usually get it and pens for Christmas but I already had some things to write in so I couldn't wait for December to receive it. An advance-booked schedule is always a great thing for a business owner.

Looking back over this year, I felt as if I didn't do much because I only wrote two books, but I did quite a bit. I spoke at five events, attended a couple conferences, published two books, hosted my first conference, completed two stealth missions, taught nine or 10 courses, mentored about 25 people up close and influenced hundreds from afar. More than hundreds if you count the people influenced by those I influenced.

I also fulfilled a goal I wrote out two or three years ago: travel for work one week a month and be home the other three. Below are pics from some of my Zari Banks, Inc. travels of 2017. Enjoy.

Los Angeles, CA
October 2017

Happy & Blessed New Year!

Ignorance is Costly

10/5/2017

Comments

Ignorance is costly. Here's one example:

People still pay the IRS up front by having money taken out of their paychecks which the IRS invests and collects interest on. They use this money to do what? Not really sure because U.S. citizens pay state taxes that cover most of their day-to-day needs. And they (the IRS) can afford to pay Equifax millions of dollars to do quien sabe que. That tells me they have a surplus somewhere.
Picture
Not only is the IRS acting in ignorance and without wisdom in the above instance, but American citizens, aren't rushing to change their tax withholding statuses to exempt. Why not? It's foolishness. Do you go to McDonald's and pay in advance for food you may not eat before the year's over? No. So why then do so many pay the IRS in advance just to get a refund on their own money? Especially when the IRS multiplying your money without giving you dividends!

It's common knowledge - or should be - that it's not against the law to keep your money to invest for yourself throughout the year and then only send the IRS a check for your actual taxes owed. Businesses do this. People have been told to select their withholding without employers actually explaining how the tax system works. And that's ignorance at its best - allowing the status quo to set an information standard.

Thankfully, I was taught that I don't have to pay them up front and then get a refund on my own money after they've earned compound interest on it for months. I know that I can keep my money to invest, increase and multiply for my household and only give them one payment each year based on what I owe and no freebies.

I'm not in the business of making everyone else rich but myself. There is plenty of money to go around, and I'm getting my share and learning how to increase what I spend so that I make more than I'm putting out, and I'm doing that without dishonest business practices. I've simply learned how to make my money work for me instead of me working (striving) for it.

I can teach you to do the same. I have a financial course coming in 2018 that'll teach how to break out of the rat race and prosper by the principles of wisdom. Look out for it. But, if you can't wait until 2018 and need a financial breakthrough now, schedule a call or book a package with me. I'll even give you a 2-for-1 if you book a Financial Deliverance Session by 12/31/17.

Effective Mentors Impart Wisdom

I've shared before that I used to think I knew everything and didn't like to ask for help. Crisis changed that for me. I don't want you to have to wait until you're life has totally fallen apart before you seek the wisdom of someone more experienced than yourself. I want you get help now, while things may be difficult, but you haven't lost hope because of the darkness around you.

I know what it's like to feel hopeless because you can't see a way out. I know what it's like to want to die because that seems easier than trying to fix everything that's gone wrong. I also know that anything can be overcome because I've experienced it. My testimony of overcoming the most-difficult of circumstances is what makes me an effective mentor.

If you're in a crisis situation, that's my specialty and I can help.

Celebrate YOU!

Hey there, wisdom seekers!

I want to encourage you to celebrate YOU. Often. Whenever you need to. I made the executive decision today that - since I always work at home - I'd work from bed. That's a little treat I give myself every now and then. I don't know why I get such a kick out of it, but I do.

Working from bed today is one of the gifts I'm giving myself for my birthday (July 26). Last night for dinner I treated myself to Zip's which is my favorite local hamburger spot, and was my first non-family job at 15 years old. The food is so greasy and so good, made when you order not microwaved and thrown together. I'm also treating myself to a professional house cleaning. Mind you, I did start cleaning like a maniac yesterday so when the service company arrives they won't realize I put off deep cleaning until the very last minute possible. I know that's ridiculous, but that's how it is.

I've learned that being a single I have to celebrate myself. I have to do special things for myself so that I don't plant seeds of lack, loneliness, discouragement, etc. in my soul. It's very easy to overlook my birthday as a single adult and even more so as a single mom.

You have to learn to do the same for yourself. Even if you are in a covenant relationship, the other person cannot be expected to fulfill your every need and desire. You have to celebrate you. I'm not suggesting in any way that you become selfish and prideful, claro que si. Simply put you know what you want better than most others, and if it's something you can provide for yourself without putting you in debt, danger or despair go for it.

Additionally, it's been my experience that being able to celebrate yourself makes it easy to celebrate others because you're confident and secure in who you are. And that ... is attractive.

Happy & Abundantly Blessed Birthday to my fellow Julyers!!

Sharing Wisdom

I recently doled out some major wisdom in a mentoring session and I'm sharing it here because it's needed. If you have ears and eyes that grab hold of I'm all saying, you'll want to take the next steps to schedule a call or book a package.
  • Your focus will come when you're truly desperate. So desperate that you cannot live another day as it is.
  • I discovered my main area of need by asking what I needed to do differently right then so my life could improve.
  • What I recommend is that you go to work each day and then for a season - three weeks at least - spend your time outside of work on sabbatical. Shut everything else off and focus. That's how I got on the path to deliverance. I spent the whole month of October 2011 working during the day and communing and journaling after until I went to bed.
  • After I cleared my main hurdle, other areas of deliverance needed were revealed and as I focused on them the path to freedom was made plain.

Living an abundant life is up to you. No one else can do that for you. If you want it badly enough, you'll have to take steps to get it, and if you follow these steps I've offered here, you'll be heads and tails above many who continue to spin wheels because they lack proper vision and wisdom.

WISDOM: Your Destiny is Calling You

3/21/2015

Comments

I've been posting some good stuff on my Facebook page recently. Here's an example:

WISDOM: If you're not living up to your full potential you may find yourself going through a midlife crisis halfway through your marriage and think it's the problem. When you don't live your purpose everything else in your life suffers. ‪#‎zww

This is the truth. I'm a people watcher, as many of us are, and I see couples going through the motions with no connection to each other and no plan to fix it because one or both are dry inside from not expressing who they really are. NOTE: I'm speaking of life purpose not negative deviations of any sort.‬ It's going to be difficult for you to flourish in a relationship if you've bought into the 9 to 5, I have to be that go to work and come home spouse who's safe and predictable and does what everyone else does.

This message isn't for everyone, of course. I've actually heard people say they just want to be average so I'm not speaking to you folks. I tried that life and it almost killed me. I'm not average. I guess I never have been because I get bored after I master many things and have to learn something new or I get cranky.

Constant growth and progress is an inherent characteristic but I believe most people don't go as far as possible because their mindset on what progress constitutes is severely limited. For example, when I was trying to be average I thought a normal progression of growth in public education was the path I took - from classroom teacher, to grade-level rep, to school rep. and mentor of teachers. I received these promotions in four years and many people who'd been teachers for decades often asked me if I was "old enough" to be an Instructional Coach because they hadn't achieved that promotion after years of service. So, looking back at that fast track I guess I wasn't even average when my mindset was limited to a safe life and career. That life backfired on me anyway because when you rise above a crowd of average folks, some of them get ugly and they want to destroy you in the spirit of jealousy.

I'm special because I'm an individual and we're all special. On the other hand I'm not special because every one us has the potential to live their dreams, passions and purpose. People look at me, are attracted to me (professionally) and hire me because I'm doing what they desire to do. I'm constantly growing, learning, producing, experimenting with new arenas and have a great amount of freedom in my life. I seem special and different because there are so many who have desires in their hearts but are afraid to do anything risky. It's sad.

Life is a risk. Love is a risk. Living your passion is a risk. But the rewards that come are multiplied over and above what an average existence will produce over any amount of time. I'm a witness.

If you want to learn how to expand your mindset and enter realms of possibility that lie beyond the average read my book Revelation is for Elevation. Chapter 2 is all about living a lifestyle of breaking through into the new. If you're ready for a mentor to guide you on your path to living your passions book a package or schedule a call today. I can customize a package to fit your budget if you're in between standard pricing. If you will listen and follow instructions I guarantee the supernatural strategies given to transform your life will produce the desired fruit.
