I got to experience Chicago, IL for the first time last week. It was exciting. It was a trip of quick work that allowed me to be a tourist for the majority of the visit.
On the shuttle to the airport when heading to Chicago, I sat with a curious young man who'd just begun his working career. He asked me tons of questions about my life and businesses.
By the way, asking questions is a skill that is taught in 1st grade (I know because I taught it for many years), can improve just about any endeavor but isn't as highly valued as it should be.
He'll go far if he keeps up with that inquisitive nature. He said something that really made me stop and think. He said, "It sounds like you have an exciting life." I then had one of those revelatory moments of my life flashing before my eyes, and I realized that yes, even with all the sacrifices, pain and heartache, my life is exciting. And the funny thing is, the losses that I've nursed in the back of my mind weren't included in the flash. I'm reminded of what my son said after receiving the PS4 he'd been saving for since last year, "It seemed like a long time while I was waiting, but now it doesn't seem long at all."
So I do have an exciting life. I have made sacrifices and experienced tremendous losses, as are a part of life. But I have more blessing, joy and abundance than sorrow; and even greater still to look forward to.
How can I help you live the life of your dreams? I'm qualified - master's degree in education, I've taught PreK to adults, I'm published. More importantly, I have personal experience of building from the bottom against all odds, and creating a life and career that a 20-something recognized as exciting.
If you're ready for you next, schedule a call, select a package or book me to come speak to your group or business. All facets of success, abundance and joy are within your grasp. I'm a witness.
Sometimes being laid off from a job is the best thing that could ever happen. It ignites a fire inside to go look for the next thing and sometimes, sometimes it sparks creativity that births million-dollar inventions and companies.
I didn't realize it in 2009, but being laid off from public education was the best thing for me because it freed me to live my dreams.
Do you make a focused effort to remember and record your night dreams? You should. But, I suppose as a dreamer and interpreter I'm a little biased. 😉
I've received great information for improving various aspects of my life in dreams, including money-making endeavors. I've had at least three of the books I've written downloaded to me in night dreams; so when I awoke and sat down to write, the words flowed out of me and within hours I was able to make money on pre-orders.
Here are some easy steps to help you begin remembering and benefiting from your dreams:
As the saying goes, "You'll find that which you seek." This is true for remembering your dreams as well. As you focus on recall, the amount and details will become more obvious and as the habit forms, dreams and your connection to them will increase.
Lie down without fear and have peaceful dreams. 😴💤
Are you a quitter? You may not want to admit it, but it's actually better if you do. Recognizing problems is the first step to solving them.
Let's look at it from another angle. Are you where you want to be in life? If not, do you have a written plan you're working to get there? Even if it's seemingly too big for someone like you go after it wholeheartedly.
Over the past week or so I've been focusing on attracting impossible realities (aka miracles) into my life. I've done this before, so it's not something new to me. What's new are the miracles I'm expecting this time around. Napoleon Hill said faith is the basis of all miracles and mysteries that can't be analyzed by the rules of science. I have big faith for miracles because I've experienced them before.
In December 2012 I boarded a 6 p.m. flight to Phoenix, Ariz. with only $50 in my pocket which was given to me by my ride to the airport. She asked, "Do you have any cash?" I told her the truth which was no, and she handed me a $50-dollar bill. How often do friends dropping you off at the airport hand you cash money? It was wild but a real blessing.
I booked a hotel online at 10 p.m. the night before after being handed $100 from a friend. I simply said, I'm going to Arizona tomorrow on a miracle mission and she asked, "Do you have everything you need?" I told her the truth which was no, and she handed me $100 cash. How awesome is that?! I actually looked for the hotel and had to leave the house after 9 p.m. to deposit the cash so I could book the room. So glad B of A gives immediate credit for cash. They have their issues, but sometimes they really come through.
When I arrived in Phoenix I texted my friend Sharon to check in. I didn't know how I'd get to the hotel and she suggested I take a taxi. It was $45. Remember the $50 I'd been given just 3 hours earlier? Imagine what would've happened without it.
I share this prove to you that the impossible can happen for you if you're willing to step out in faith. I move out in faith all of the time. I scare some people with the faith moves I make. Seriously. My mentor Patti has said to me more than once, by the time she believes for one impossible thing I've done for her life I'm already farther out in the water about to step out of the boat again.
If you've been a quitter in the past, I'd love to work with you and impart my walk-on-water faith into you. I'm not any different than you. I was born and raised in a small town that was only 50,000 people by the time I graduated high school. If a small-town girl like me can believe and experience the impossible, so can you. Let's get started.
Have you ever run from something that you really wanted? Or maybe even something that was good for you? You may be able to immediately pinpoint an instance or you may not even realize that you've run from something instead of embracing it.
That's the case for most, I believe - they don't realize they've actually, truly, run from a blessing, benefit or opportunity at some time. There's comfort, unfortunately, in the status quo and in living life with many things just out of reach. It takes courage to capture potential, focus on it and refuse to move to the right or left of the path to the promise no matter what comes and no matter how long it takes.
Sometimes we run from wonderful things because of fear. Many give fear too much leg room in their lives. Ultimate achievers and receivers aren't without fear, but they are fearless meaning they face it and conquer it. Other times we run from things because they seem too good to be true. I've had that type of experience. I've learned to overcome fear, but I have wanted to run after planning and preparing for a new level and then almost chickening out when I got there..
I'm excited to say today that I haven't given up hope on any of the hundreds of things on my list of uncommon dreams. For me it's always come down to these factors:
I've overcome the odds of homelessness, rejection, cycles of failure and more to become an award-winning and multiple-bestselling author, speaker and professional mentor. My clients can do everything I've done and greater because it's possible and because of the supernatural strategies and wisdom I share with them. If you're ready to start winning schedule a call or book a package right now.
This article originally appeared on the Linda Dominique Grosvenor-Holland, The Grow Your Dreams Midwife(TM) site. I'm sharing this with you because it's not information that I write on myself but it's valuable, straight forward and provided by an expert from whom I learn much. She's one of my mentors. Also, over the last six months I've advised at least five clients to commit to blogs to get their writings and books exposure and sales. I want you to be successful in every area of life, and if I don't give you the wisdom directly, I'll point you in the right direction.
Are thinking about blogging but just don’t know where to start? Here are 5 quick tips for the serious blogger:
1. Get off the freebie blog sites. You may be comfy there and it may be easy because they host everything for you - including your photos and audios - but if you’re trying to build something lasting and make money at it, at the very least you need to OWN IT! That means buy your own domain and start blogging there. Inbox me and I can get you started blogging in a weekend! I got my husband’s blog up and running in less than an hour, and it only took that long because he was deciding on a template.
2. You need to understand and start using social networks. Sure you may love Facebook and hate Twitter or you may hate Twitter and love Instagram, but if you’re trying to spread the word about your blog you’re going to have to learn how to draw people to your blog not just by using what you like to use but by using what your target audience uses as well. That also means you’re going to have to break out of your stifling tight circle of church or work friends, too. Yep, you’ll have to reach out and let complete strangers like, follow and/or friend you ... oh my!
3. Guest Blogging is an option. But it’s an option you don’t want to abuse. You don’t want to harass popular bloggers and gurus with requests to come to your blog and share all that they know. If your blog has nothing to offer them in terms of traffic or even a free ad for 3 months it’s a bit unfair. A better option is to build your reputation and traffic a bit first before you launch out in search of guest bloggers, or even just begin sharing what you know. Become the expert of your own blog before you go looking outside of your blog and once the traffic starts coming guest bloggers won’t mind coming along for the ride too.
Saturday, June 20, 2015 - I attended the book launch and signing event in support of another local author. I've known Mrs. Re'Gena since I was a child, and she and my mother attended high school together. I hope you enjoy these pics.
I'm a dreamer.
When I lie down to sleep - even when napping - I begin dreaming or having visions as soon as my mind quiets. EXAMPLE: This past Sunday I was sitting in my napping chair (it's a fabulous La-Z-Boy leather recliner that's perfect for naps) at 5:44 p.m. I noted the time because I had a call scheduled for 6. And somehow in that brief amount of time I fell asleep and went into a really exciting dream. I lost the record of the dream, though, because my phone went off and jolted me awake. I do remember someone - most likely myself - yelling, "Grab that, too!"
Dreams are important tools for guiding our lives and giving us direction IF - and that's a big IF - we will invest the time to record our dreams upon waking and seek proper interpretation through prayer and then if necessary from someone gifted in seeing (interpretation). The Giver of Dreams desires the best for our lives. He knows the plans He has for us and decreed that those plans are for our good, for our prosperity, for our futures and for hope.
Seeking understanding about a dream from any other source other than the Giver Himself cannot yield the truth contained in the dream. Humanistic means based on the mind - which is flawed though amazing in its natural state - cannot adequately interpret dreams because dreams are spiritual communications. That further lends to the fact that if an interpreter isn't of the right spirit - say, a spirit of darkness as opposed to a true spirit of light - they cannot provide an accurate interpretation.
Take some time to examine your night dreams. They're communicating the condition of your soul and spirit. Are you consistently dreaming of dark, negative events and rehearsing the past or are you dreaming of things that speak of your future and give you hope? As a mentor my expertise is in helping you get your soul cleaned up and healed so that you can be your authentic self. A self that isn't running or hiding from what has been, but instead is leaping toward a future that's overflowing with hope.
If you're ready to take that leap, schedule a call or book a package today. I know you want to live the best life possible and leave a healthy legacy for those who come after you. Let's get started now.
P.S. I was not ever a homecoming queen, but I was the belle of my 20-year high school reunion this summer and that only happened because I have a cleaned up and healed soul. Let me tell you ... I used to be a problem causer and I was great at it. Now I'm a problem solver and I'm great at that. ;) Let me help you.
